Alvin, the Wolf, and the Horrible Hurrofs

My humble Lost Vikings-meets-Calvin and Hobbes GMTK 2021 entry, and my first-ever jam game. Play time is about 10 to 15 minutes.

Explore a mysterious forest, face down a multitude of perils, and scheme with your wolf friend in your secret hideout.

Your wolf friend can run fast, leap over streams and ponds, and eat menacing hurrofs for breakfast, but turns into a plush when near people. You can squeeze through tight gaps, converse with people, and rescue your wolf friend when he's stuck in plushie form.

With your very different skill sets, you will need to work together to defeat your obstacles, from slimy girls and an angry principal to the prowling hurrof monsters. Will you survive the many terrors of the woods and make it home in time for dinner?

• better allowances and pointers to make it more obvious what you're supposed to do.
• fixed the bug where hitting A to switch between characters rapidly switched back and forth between them.
• small general improvements to dialogue, consistency, and so on.
• feeling a bit more confident in my project, I added the ability to pay a token sum for the game, for those who feel like doing so.
